Open to all women of the Parish who wish to deepen their Spirituality through varied studies of our Catholic faith, while fostering fellowship and deepening relationships through events and service opportunities throughout the year.
Do you wish to deepen your understanding of marriage? Do you want more tools to be able to speak to others about what marriage means? Do you wonder if you are doing enough to help your children understand, love and convey the priceless goods of true marriage? Are you concerned about the misunderstandings and confusing messages about marriage being communicated in our culture? If so, then a CanaVox Reading Group may be the community of support and instruction you’ve been seeking.
CanaVox is a marriage movement founded by mothers. We meet monthly as a small group of women to study and discuss the importance of marriage. Our readings are tailored for busy people, but consist of the best scientific, cultural and academic information based on natural law, as opposed to simply divine revelation, so that you can speak lovingly and effectively about marriage (and about a wide range of topics that affect the marriage culture).
CanaVox is neither combative nor political— it is a cheerful, forward-thinking and solution-focused cultural movement that provides support and instruction. Together, we can revive our marriage culture, one person at a time.
Join us for our kickoff meeting on October 25 at 7:30pm in the Draus Room and see what it’s all about! For more information or to RSVP, email CanaVox.Heddy@gmail.com.
The Women of Spirit, an Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, was formed in 2017 to offer the women of the parish the opportunity to share our faith and love of God through various social and charitable events. Last year, the group held a very successful event to benefit The Joy of Sox which raised $4,000 to benefit the homeless in our area. Since then we have been busy planning new events including a Mardi Gras dance on February 23, 2019.
The group is open to women of the parish, age 18+, who would like the opportunity for reflection and to socialize with other women. The next meeting dates are listed below. The group is still in the formation stage and your ideas are always welcome. Whether you are new to the parish or have belonged for many years, please feel free to come alone or with a friend. We welcome you either way.
If you have any questions, please contact Alyce Rossi at 609-587-6222 or Sharon Zubricky at 609-275-9157.
