Ushers at St. Gregory the Great Church welcome the community, help people find seats, take up the offertory collection, facilitate an orderly movement of the congregation for receiving Eucharist, ensure Eucharist is made available to anyone in handicapped seating, hand out bulletins and clean up after Sunday Mass. They also help at Holy Day Masses and other liturgical events as needed.
Beyond helping at Masses, we typically meet twice a year (Advent and Lent). Any male or female of high school age and up is invited to participate in this ministry (any seventh- or eighth-grader can also participate if their parent/guardian is at the Mass at which the student serves as an usher). Please visit the Ministry Contact page to inquire.
