Our shawls are handmade by volunteer parishioners. While stitching, our crafters pray for the wearer's health and well-being, and for God's blessings upon them. Recipients of the prayer shawls are comforted by a visible reminder that the prayers of our parish are with them and God is with them in their suffering.
Over 800 prayer shawls have been given to people who are in need of comfort, due to a challenging life situation or illness. Recipients need not be parishioners. If you know of someone in need of a prayer shawl, please contact Lee Grodzki at 609-954-4710 (cell). You may either call or text requests.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry is always in need of people who knit and crochet. Meetings are held from September to June in the library of Church. In the winter months, meetings are held in the daytime. If you can't make the meetings, prayer shawls can be made in your own home on your own time. For more information on meeting times, contact Phyllis DiPersio at 609-586-9116 or watch the bulletin for times.
Yarn donations are gratefully accepted, just call!
Thank you to our talented volunteers who use their skills to share comfort with people in need.
