July, 2021
Dear Religious Education Parents,
I hope your summer is going well and has afforded sometime for rest and relaxation. I wish I could tell you that everything will be back to normal (whatever normal is) but many of the COVID-19 directives for school and school related activities are still in place. Considering these restrictions along with the need for many more catechist, aides, hall monitors and parking lot supervision, the options for next year are very limited:
Grades 1, 2, 7, & 8: Sacramental years will be in-person.
Grades 3, 4, 5, & 6: Non-sacramental years will continue online with weekly assessments submitted to a catechist.
There will be a few parent meeting for each group in person and online. We know that this will be inconvenient for some, but safety for our students, families and Catechists is our first concern.
You will find Registration Forms following this letter, we ask you to fill them out, mail or drop off at the Rectory or Religious Education Office in the School building.
I ask that we face this coming year together with an open mind and heart, sharing showing our faith with our children. Parents I am grateful to you for your continued cooperation. To our Catechist and staff sincere thanks for your dedication.
In Christ,
Sister Carolyn Houck, MPF
