Your help is needed to stop the Reproductive Freedom Act, the most radical abortion bill ever proposed in this state. If this bill is passed, it will codify into law the extreme anti-life policies practiced in only a handful of nations.
This includes:
Babies can be aborted up to the point of birth.
Pregnant teenage moms can abort their children without the abortionistor school officials ever notifying parents.
Late-term abortions will be fully paid for by your taxes and your healthinsurance.
Conscience protections for medical workers will be removed, forcingpro-life medical workers to assist in the abortion procedure.
Non-physicians can perform risky and unsafe abortions on women.
The bill is most likely scheduled to be heard in committee within weeks

Suggested phone message: Hello, my name is __________. I am calling about The Reproductive Freedom Act. This is the most dangerous and radical abortion bill ever proposed in our state. It violates conscience protections, puts women at risk in late-term abortions and abortions performed by non-physicians, and prohibits any protections for babies in the womb – even up to birth. I urge Senator/Assembly ___________ to vote NO. Can we count on him/her to help protect women and children from this unsafe law?

Please note... New Jersey has some of the least-restrictive abortion laws in the country and has abortion providers in most counties. As a comparison, many states have such restrictive laws and licensing requirements that the procedure is nearly impossible to access (for example, only 1 percent of Mississippi counties have access to abortion services). One of the only abortion restrictions in the state is a ban on so-called "partial birth" abortions after 12 weeks of gestation, but that was ruled unconstitutional and is thus unenforceable. New Jersey does not require waiting periods, parental consent, forced ultrasounds, or other restrictions on patients. Abortion providers in New Jersey, however, must comply with some limited restrictions. For instance, the procedure must be performed in a hospital or other specialized facility; services provided after the 14th week must be provided in a "licensed hospital;" and providers offering services after the 18th week must have admitting and surgical privileges within 20 minutes driving time of the facility.
