Parishioner Paul La Plante has been accepted into the Diocese of Trenton Diaconate Formation Program!
Congratulations to parishioner Paul La Plante who was recently accepted into the Diocese of Trenton’s Permanent Diaconate Formation Program. The program involves five years of theological study, prayer and spiritual growth, culminating God willing in the candidate’s ordination as a permanent deacon. Paul will begin the program at the end of August.
Paul has been a parishioner at St. Gregory the Great for nearly 30 years, and his admission into the Diaconate Program is a continuation of his life of service to the parish through numerous ministries and leadership roles. Paul has served on the Pastoral Council, Academy School Board, Communications and Marketing Board, and the Diocesan Pastoral Council. He also volunteers his time as a member of the Knights of Columbus, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and as a leader of faith sharing and Bible study groups. Most recently he also served as a volunteer for the diocesan
Faith to Move Mountains endowment campaign. Currently he is on our parish’s
Faith in our Future implementation core team.
Please pray that Paul’s five years of study deepen and strengthen his relationship with God, while developing the skills necessary to minister as a permanent deacon. Also please remember in your prayers Paul’s wife of nearly 30 years, Lori, and his adult sons Paul, Jr. and Jonathan, that their faith is enriched as they support Paul during his formation journey.
