Our Holy Week celebrations will be as reverent and beautiful as we can make them, and while the COVID protocols will alter them somewhat, we will still commemorate and celebrate them together. We will do all we can to keep our parishioners safe, which includes the requirement to wear face coverings while in our buildings and continue socially-distanced seating. Our capacities will still be limited, but we will do the best we can to accommodate those who wish to attend. I hope you have a blessed, healthy, safe, and meaningful Holy Week. Following are a few additional notes to keep in mind:
There will be no Morning Masses on Holy Thursday or during the Sacred Triduum. However, for those who wish to attend, we will pray Morning Prayer in the Church on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 4/1-4/3 at 8:30AM
The Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday 4/1, will be at 7:30PM. There will be a time for adoration and vigil after the Mass this year following the Mass, but it will be in the Church and not the Chapel. Night Prayer will end the vigil at 10:45PM with the doors being closed at 11:00PM.
While we cannot have an Easter food blessing in the Church this year, we will offer a drive-thru blessing for those who desire to attend. The blessing of Easter food will occur on Holy Saturday 4/3 @ 1:00PM. When you arrive, please drive into the parking lot through the main Nottingham Way entrance. You will be directed to the curb in front of the Church, where the priests will be stationed who will offer an individual food blessing for the food that is in your car.
We will commemorate Divine Mercy Sunday in a more simplified way on Sunday 4/11/2021. Details of the commemoration and the 9-day Novena can be found here. There will be no scheduled confessions on Sunday 4/11/2021, so if you wish to receive the indulgence for Divine Mercy Sunday, we will have our normal confessions times during Easter week, Tuesday and Wednesday 4/6-4/7 at 6:30PM and Saturday 4/10 at 3:30PM. There will be more than one priest available at all scheduled confession times between now and Divine Mercy Sunday.
