Father Pablo Gadenz, a priest of the diocese who teaches Scripture at Seton Hall University, will explore with us the riches of Luke’s account of the birth of Jesus.
Father Pablo Gadenz is an Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Trenton in 1996. He has a license in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute and a doctorate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. At Seton Hall, he teaches courses on the four Gospels and other books of the New Testament, as well as biblical Greek. Besides his teaching duties, he is also on the Formation Faculty of the Seminary, preparing seminarians for the priesthood. During the current academic year, he is writing a commentary on the Gospel of Luke for the “Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture” series. The Gospel of Luke is the Gospel that gives us more detailed information about the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. This evening he will help us prepare for Christmas as he speaks to us about the familiar Christmas story in Luke, chapter 2, verses 1-20.
