As you may remember, we had three major “snow events” this past winter, the most snow since the winter of 2013-14 when our snow removal costs topped $80,000. Yes, snow removal is very expense! The more snowfall per event and the longer the duration of the storm, the more time and effort it requires to clear the snow and keep the campus free of snow and ice. Thankfully this year’s costs have not reached the previous record, however, we are still facing expenses in excess of $50,000 which is nearly as steep when adjusted for our post-COVID giving levels (which average 25% less than pre-COVID levels).
As we did in 2013-14, we are making a special appeal for help with defraying these costs. If your financial means allow and you would like to contribute to this collection you can: 1) drop in weekend mass collection marked “Snow”; 2) drop in the mail; 3) drop off at the Rectory (outside mailbox); 4) use our online giving system, and select fund “SPECIAL COLLECTION – SNOW 2020-21” – see the “Quick Give” option if you do not already have an account. Thank you for any help you are able to provide.
