Please Help the Children of Appalachia

Social Concerns will be collecting school supplies for the disadvantaged children in Appalachia. The items will be delivered by St. Greg’s Youth Ministry on their annual trip to Appalachia.  Some suggested NEW items needed are: Backpacks, Binders, Pencils/Pens, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Markers, Erasers, and Glue Sticks, Composition Books, Notebooks, Folders, Loose-leaf Paper, and Children’s Scissors.  A complete list, by grade, can also be found here:

SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST

Donated items can be dropped off in the collection bins marked ‘APPALACHIA’ in the gathering space of the church at all Masses beginning the weekend of June 24th and 25th, through the weekend of July 8th and 9th .  If it’s more convenient, Walmart gift cards will also be gratefully accepted.  Please put them in an envelope marked ‘Appalachia’ and place them in the Poor Box in the Gathering Space.  Please DON’T put them in the collection bins marked ‘Appalachia’ Thanks, as always, for your compassion and generosity!
