10/28/2020 Small, fragile flags, brightly colored pink and blue, will adorn our campus through next weekend. They are quiet reminders of the young, defenseless children lost each day in our country. Each flag represents one beating heart silenced, one bright future extinguished by an abortion.
On average, 2,900 babies die every day as a result of an abortion: more than any other cause of death in the US: more than heart disease, cancer or Covid-19.
On the lawn in front of the Rectory, there are 970 flags: one for every child lost in an 8 hour work day.
In front of the Church, there are another 120 flags: one for every child lost in the one hour while you are at Mass this weekend.
As you look upon this, please pray for mothers in a crisis pregnancy, that they seek help and choose to bring their baby to full term. For the younger child you may want to simply say the pretty flags are there to remind us that babies are a gift from God.
Please pray for all of the children lost every day to this brutal practice. Please pray for our country, that we can come together and put an end to this tragedy. And please pray for one another, so that when our time comes, we can confidently tell our Father that we did all we could do to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
