Many or our safety protocols will be adjusted in light of the new CDC and State of NJ guidelines. Here are a few bullet points concerning the ones that generate the most questions from our parishioners.
COVID-19 Protocols beginning the weekend of May 29-30, 2021
Masks are no longer required for those vaccinated against COVID-19 in our public buildings. Those who wish to wear them should continue to do so. (Effective Friday May 28, 2021)
Socially distanced seating will no longer be enforced for those entering the Church. Please sit where you and your family are comfortable doing so.
Those who are not yet fully vaccinated against COVID-19 should continue to wear masks and practice social distancing.
Live-Streamed 10:30AM Mass will continue on parish website and Facebook page.
Church is open for private prayer. Chapel remains closed, but will reopen in the near future.
Please continue to wash your hands and use the provided hand sanitizer.
Communion ministers will continue to sanitize their hands and wear masks for the distribution of the Eucharist.
Details of other changes will be communicated with those whom they directly effect. Guidelines for use of meeting space will be updated separately. The St. Gregory the Great Academy has its own rules and guidelines that it must follow, which are separate from those pertaining to the Church.
Dispensation Lifted: The Bishops of New Jersey have ended the dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation effective June 5-6, 2021, the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. As is always the case, the obligation does not apply to the sick, those with underlying health conditions, and those who remain fearful of COVID-19 transmission.
