St. Gregory’s Altar Server Ministry offers young Catholics an opportunity to grow in their faith and become more active in Mass. As St. Pope John Paul II noted “The altar server has a privileged place in liturgical celebrations. They experience from close at hand that Jesus Christ is present and active in every liturgy . . . In the liturgy you are far more than mere ‘helpers of the parish priest’. Above all, you are servants of Jesus Christ, the eternal High Priest.”
Altar Server Training –
First Saturday of each month at 8am
Current altar servers who wish to return to the Altar Server Ministry are invited to join Deacon Joe Moore for training on the new protocols for serving in this ministry. Training on the new protocols is required before participating at Mass.
Boys and girls in grades 4 and up, including high school students, are invited to join the Altar Server Ministry and attend this training session. Please consider volunteering your time in this liturgical capacity to serve at our weekend liturgies. Training is held the first Saturday of the month if you are unable to join us on February 5.
Please consider serving your parish in this important and visible ministry! Contact Deacon Joe Moore for more information at [email protected].
