The Altar Rosary Society is a prayer and service group that meets monthly. Our mission is to foster devotion to the Blessed Mother through recitation of the Rosary in our monthly meetings, at local nursing homes and homes of ill parishioners. We care for the needs of the altar and raise money for various parish needs. The Altar Rosary is open to all parishioners, ages 18 and older.
There are many activities and events throughout the year such as our Annual Retreat, Christmas dinner and June breakfast during which we collect for various charities. We celebrate the month of the Rosary in October with a special Mass and Communion Breakfast. We celebrate the month of Our Lady with a May Crowning. Altar Rosary members honor their deceased members with a yearly Mass of Remembrance and recite the Rosary at members' funerals.
AR members volunteer as rectory secretaries and launder church linens. They regularly visit local nursing homes to recite the rosary and minister to the residents in uplifting, spiritual and cheerful presentations.
We have a Prayer Shawl Ministry that prays while knitting and crocheting shawl and lap blankets, baby blankets and hats for the ill. Donations of materials always appreciated and accepted!
Prayerfully consider joining the Altar Rosary Society. We would love to welcome more members! Contact membership chairperson, Lillian Banks at 609-587-8058 with questions.
